UPSC EPFO EO/AO Final Result 2024/Age/ Eligibility/Examination Pattern

Union Public Service Commission has released the UPSC EPFO EO/AO Final Result 2024. Candidates who have appeared for Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation Enforcement Officer/ Accounts Officer written test and interview round can check the results through the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

The Commission has recommended 418 candidates for appointment to the post of Enforcement Officer/ Accounts Officer in EPFO, Ministry of Labour and Employment. All those candidates who have appeared for written test and interview round can follow the steps to check the results here.

The UPSC EPFO EO/AO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer) examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to EPFO. Here’s a detailed overview of the eligibility criteria and examination pattern:

Age Eligibility:

1. Maximum Age Limit:
   • General Category: 30 years.
2. Age Relaxation:
   • SC/ST: 5 years.
   • OBC: 3 years.
   • Employees of EPFO and other specified categories: As per government norms.
   • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
     • General: 10 years.
     • OBC: 13 years.
     • SC/ST: 15 years.
   • Ex-Servicemen and other categories: As per rules.

Educational Qualification:

• Essential Qualification:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Desirable Qualification:
  • Diploma in Company Law, Labour Laws, or Public Administration is preferred but not mandatory.

Examination Pattern:

The selection process consists of two stages:

1. Recruitment Test (RT):

• Mode: Pen and paper-based (Offline).
• Type of Questions: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions).
• Total Marks: 300.
• Duration: 2 hours.
• Negative Marking:
  • 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted for wrong answers.
• Syllabus:
  1. General English: Vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension skills.
  2. Indian Freedom Struggle: Major events and movements.
  3. Current Events and Developmental Issues: National and international importance.
  4. Indian Polity and Economy: Constitution, governance, and economic developments.
  5. General Accounting Principles.
  6. Industrial Relations and Labour Laws.
  7. General Science and Computer Knowledge.
  8. General Mental Ability and Quantitative Aptitude.
  9. Social Security in India.

2. Interview:

• Marks: 100.
• Candidates who qualify for the recruitment test are shortlisted for the interview.
• Weightage:
  • Recruitment Test (RT): 75%.
  • Interview: 25%.

Final Selection

The final merit list is prepared based on the combined performance in the Recruitment Test and Interview, subject to the candidate meeting all eligibility criteria.
