Parvati Arga Bird Sanctuary: The Chief Minister launched the “Conservation of Wetlands for the Future of All” program at the Parvati Arga Bird Sanctuary, highlighting the significance of these natural habitats for migratory birds.

Economic Opportunities: Wetlands-related eco-tourism, heritage tourism, and spiritual tourism can play a significant role in boosting employment in local sectors such as hotels, taxis, restaurants, and handicrafts, as evidenced by the increase in tourism in Ayodhya.

Major Wetlands and Bird Sanctuaries in Uttar Pradesh:

1. Parvati Arga Bird Sanctuary
   • Located in the Sant Kabir Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, this sanctuary is particularly important for migratory birds. It is surrounded by natural lakes and wetlands, serving as a key stopover for migratory birds.
   • The sanctuary plays a vital role in environmental conservation and biodiversity protection, and promotes bird watching and eco-tourism.
2. Siddharth Nagar Bird Sanctuary
