Bodoland all set to become Union Territory!

Background on the School of Happiness

  • The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), governing the BTR, has diligently crafted plans for over a year to establish the International School of Peace and Happiness.

Addressing Regional Challenges

  • With a history marked by ethnic conflicts and extremism, the BTR aims to cultivate human values and harmonious coexistence through this institution. Diverse faiths, cultures, and ethnicities will find a common ground through the lessons imparted.

Visionary Objectives of BTC

  • The BTC underscores the significance of formal education in fostering peace and happiness, envisioning the emergence of peace ambassadors adept at resolving conflicts.

The Genesis of the School

  • Rooted in the Bodoland Happiness Mission, this pioneering initiative took shape a year ago. The mission involved the training of approximately 400 young individuals and community leaders as peace and happiness volunteers at the Bodoland Community Counselling Centres.

Training for Peace Advocates

  • The program encompassed a comprehensive curriculum, focusing on social issue-related laws, bias elimination, self-awareness, counseling methodologies, and stress management techniques.
  • This visionary move by the Bodoland Territorial Council marks a significant step towards fostering a culture of peace and happiness amidst diversity.
